But just a few days later, on November 27, Strongman Corporation pulled her title. Why? Reports surfaced that a participant in Booker's category was "biologically male and now identifies as female."

Thompson also took her feelings public on social media, calling this episode one her career's most draining. “What should've been a celebrated moment has been overshadowed by scandal and dishonesty, all brought about by someone we welcomed,” she wrote. She emphasized how vital it celebrates women's sports without societal pressures getting in.
