The video in question is part of Jayapal's "Resistance Lab" series, recorded in March of this year. In the video, Jayapal encourages people to prepare for non-violent resistance, emphasizing being "strike ready" and "street ready" in anticipation of personal risk during protests.

Despite the peaceful intent of Jayapal's message, Gillette's response was alarming. He suggested that individuals like Jayapal who "advocate for the overthrow of the American government" should be "tried, convicted, and hanged."
