The BBC, which has hosted the UK version of the drag competition since its inception, also paid tribute to Williams. Fiona Campbell, the BBC’s youth audience controller, described the news as "deeply sad." The Vivienne was much more than a Drag Race champion. She was a multi-talented entertainer whose career spanned multiple facets of the entertainment industry. After gaining international recognition from Drag Race, she made it to the finals of Dancing On Ice in 2023 and became a regular on British TV game shows. Her acting credits include roles in TV dramas such as This Is Going To Hurt and Emmerdale. In 2024, she made her West End debut in the revival of The Wizard of Oz, playing the iconic role of The Wicked Witch of the West.
In the wake of her passing, The Vivienne’s publicist, Simon Jones, stated that no further details regarding her death would be disclosed and requested that the family be allowed "time and privacy" to grieve.
