On the night of May 31st, Love attended the Proud Scotland Awards in Glasgow, where he was honored with the Impact Award for his marketing agency, Monumental. Unprovoked Attack

The incident, which has since gained attention on social media, involved a male passenger who directed homophobic slurs at Love. A video shared on TikTok, capturing part of the encounter, shows Love’s friend confronting the man for his behavior, only to be met with further derogatory remarks. British Transport Police reported receiving a notice of the hate crime shortly after midnight on June 1st, during a train journey from Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh. Determined not to be silenced, Love has reported the incident to Police Scotland and remains committed to his advocacy efforts. "I’m still angry," he admitted, "but as we enter Pride Month, I’m also more energized than ever to continue the work I do. We will not be intimidated back into silence."
