When trump tattoos go from trendsetter regrets

Isn't it fascinating how tattoos, those once permanent badges, can shift in popularity so dramatically? Former President Donald Trump has become America's most regretted celebrity tattoo choice, according a recent report on tattoo trends and regrets.

BetUS, an online platform, did some digging and found that Trump's once-popular image in body art has seen a major decline. It seems like those Trump-inspired tats that were all rage are now going out fashion. This shift mirrors broader changes in how people feel about him.

The fall in Trump-inspired tattoo searches

The drop in searches says it all. In past year, people searched just 110 times Trump-related tattoos. Compare that with more searches seen by controversial figures like author JK Rowling and musician Kanye West, who racked up 1,330 and 5,310 searches, respectively.

In July alone, GLAAD's accountability tracker documented over 300 things Trump did that were considered anti-LGBTQ+. Those actions significantly shaped public opinion, which in turn led former fans think twice about their Trump tattoos.

During his second term, Trump introduced at least 77 actions targeting LGBTQ+ community, including removing specialized services from 988 suicide and crisis hotline. Moves like these certainly shifted how people view him, impacting tattoo regrets.

The impact on LGBTQ+ policies and healthcare

Trump's administration also floated some eye-raising changes in healthcare. They proposed new regulations aimed at limiting access gender-affirming care transgender youth. Leaked proposals suggested that Department Health and Human Services considered stopping federal Medicaid reimbursements transgender patients under 18, and reducing funding hospitals providing gender-affirming care.

And then there were executive orders perceived anti-transgender, affecting military service, sports participation, healthcare access trans minors. The removal diversity, equity, inclusion programs federal agencies was another point contention, fueling Trump-themed tattoo regret.

Using tools like KeywordTool.io, study analyzed search terms like "tattoo removal" and "tattoo cover up" identify where across U.S. regrets highest.
