On a pivotal Friday afternoon, nine passionate transgender advocates and their allies found themselves arrested on those iconic steps outside our U.S. Supreme Court. They were voicing their discontent over a recent controversial ruling in what has become a defining moment in America—the U.S. v. Skrmetti case.
The Supreme Court, with a 6-3 nod toward its conservative members, decided in favor that upholds Tennessee's contentious law outlawing gender-affirming care minors. What does this mean? This decision sends shockwaves, deeply worrying advocates as it threatens transgender young people and their access essential healthcare.
