In her memoir "Mean Baby," Blair writes, "My doctors urged me not go public," as they were concerned about misunderstandings. When she attended that Vanity Fair Oscars party in 2019, using a mobility aid, she received overwhelming support. It was a defining moment that showcased her strength amidst adversity.
Scout: more than a service dog
Scout officially joined Blair's life in December 2021 after more than a year and a half in training. Thanks in part due then, certainly, now, with Courtney and her fantastic team at a specialized service dog organization, Scout assists Blair with mobility and other challenges that come with managing MS.
Blair couldn't contain her excitement on social media, posting, “It has been a year and a half in making, but my new partner, Scout, and I graduated! We're officially a service dog team."
