In Scotland, a significant issue has surfaced within schools: concerns about transgender students' well-being, especially when it comes down their use facilities like restrooms. The Educational Institute Of Scotland (EIS), which speaks up on behalf most Scottish teachers, has raised this alarm. On October 1st, they openly addressed new guidelines from Scottish government designed support transgender students. While EIS sees this recent move valuable, they're not shy expressing some apprehension, believing these rules don't quite cover everything needed protect rights transgender and non-binary students.
