Rylan Clark Opens Up About New Relationship and Overcoming Fears
Beloved television presenter Rylan Clark recently opened up about embracing a new chapter in his personal life. The host of This Morning shared exciting news about his first romantic relationship in four years during a heartfelt conversation on his podcast, Rylan: How To Be In Love, with renowned journalist Louis Theroux. After a period of introspection following his divorce from ex-husband Dan Neal, Rylan expressed feelings of joy and contentment with his new partner.
Rylan candidly admitted to having initial apprehensions about entering into a new relationship. "I've not been in a relationship for the past four years. Part of me was scared," he confessed. "I shouldn't be scared of getting into a relationship even if it doesn't work out, because otherwise, I'll never experience what a new relationship could be." "It's the first person I've met in four years that I've introduced to my family. I'm happy. Previously, I'd keep things quiet, not really go to restaurants or do things publicly. But this time, I've been more open, and no one has really noticed, which is a bit amusing to me," Rylan said with a hint of pride. "I'm embracing this part of my life fully."
Rylan's openness extended to other aspects of his life as well. While speaking on his BBC Radio 2 show, he confirmed the news of his relationship to co-host Lottie Uttley, humorously hoping to dispel ongoing rumors about a romance with his good friend and TV co-presenter, Robert Rinder.
Reflecting on his past, Rylan talked about his previous marriage to Dan Neal, which ended in 2021 after six years. The split followed his admission of infidelity, a revelation that led to a difficult period in his life, including a health scare and a necessary hiatus from work to focus on his mental well-being.
Despite personal challenges, Rylan didn't shy away from sharing his views on broader societal issues. Recently, he faced criticism following comments made during a segment on ITV’s This Morning regarding immigration. Rylan emphasized that while the UK is "built on immigration," the narrative around those arriving via the English Channel needed careful consideration.
"You can be pro-immigration and against illegal routes," Rylan explained in a subsequent statement on social media. He advocated for nuanced discussions over divisive rhetoric, urging people to have meaningful conversations rather than descending into online shouting matches.
