Jane Don’t Honors Terry Covington After His Passing
Jane Don’t, a beloved star from RuPaul’s Drag Race, has shared a poignant tribute to Terry Covington, her partner from the recent makeover challenge, following the news of his untimely passing in December 2025.
In the latest episode of season 18, the queens were presented with a unique challenge: transforming queer cowboys into drag personas. Jane Don’t was paired with Terry, affectionately named Maybe Don’t for the episode. The pair shared a special bond during the show.
After the elimination of another contestant, Discord Addams, the show aired a moving in memoriam for Terry, who had passed away after filming.
Jane expressed her feelings on Instagram, where she shared a heartfelt message accompanied by a photo of Terry. She wrote, "I feel extremely fortunate to have met Terry and to have hopefully provided him with the unforgettable Drag Race experience he desired. Our time together was brief, yet his kindness, patience, and positive spirit left a lasting impression on me during what was a stressful competition for us all."
Reflecting on their conversations, Jane shared, "We bonded over our love for our pets and grandmas, and Terry reminded me of the struggles our predecessors faced, paving the way for the freedoms my generation enjoys today. His determination to excel and his dedication to hard work made him a true cowboy at heart."
She concluded her message with, "Endless love to Terry’s family and friends. Rest easy, my Queen."
A Special Bond Formed on the Show
During the makeover challenge, Terry expressed his enthusiasm for the experience, even agreeing to shave his beard while opting to keep his eyebrows intact. The duo’s camaraderie was further highlighted by their shared appreciation for mullets, with Jane noting, "We both sport mullets, and I can connect with anyone who shares that style."
Terry, a proud gay cowboy, found joy in embracing his identity, despite initial reservations about leaving behind a way of life when he came out. He shared, "Being at my first gay rodeo was where I truly discovered my love."
Jane, reflecting on their partnership, said in a confessional, "I’m deeply touched by Terry’s kindness. His life has been so different from mine, yet he’s part of the reason I get to do what I love today. I’m committed to ensuring he enjoys every moment of this experience."

Jane’s Instagram post was met with an outpouring of love from her co-stars and fans. Fellow contestant Mia Starr commented, "You have a beautiful heart. I love you dearly." Ciara Myst added, "Together, you created a magical moment." Meanwhile, judge Carson Kressley responded with a series of heart emojis, reflecting the affection shared by all who knew Terry.
