Our magazine offers a window into the past, showcasing moments that defined our community's journey. Below is a glimpse of some of the cherished memories featured in this commemorative issue.

A March Through Time

Remember the D.C.'s Different Drummers as they proudly marched in the 2006 Capital Pride Parade. Their rhythmic beats and vibrant presence have become a staple of our Pride celebrations over the years. The photos in the magazine capture the energy and excitement that filled the streets during these events.

This magazine is now available and offered as a complimentary gift to the community. You can pick up your copy at LGBTQ-friendly bars and restaurants throughout Washington, D.C. Additionally, copies will be distributed at the Pride festival on June 7 and 8. Visit our booth to grab a copy and celebrate with us.

We extend heartfelt thanks to our sponsors and advertisers. Their generous support allows us to share this magazine free of charge. A special thank you goes to our dedicated team who made this publication possible. Photo Editor Michael Key meticulously selected the images that best represent our history, while Meaghan Juba designed the magazine with creativity and passion. A Tribute to Our Community

The 1995 Lesbian and Gay Freedom Festival, held on Freedom Plaza on June 18, is among the many iconic events showcased in the magazine. Each photograph tells a story of resilience, joy, and unity. These images serve as a powerful reminder of the progress we have made and the challenges we have overcome together.

This magazine reflects over 50 years of commitment from countless reporters, editors, photographers, and media professionals dedicated to documenting and uplifting the LGBTQ community. It is a celebration of our shared history and achievements.

We hope you enjoy this magazine and treasure it as a keepsake of the many highs and lows our local LGBTQ community has faced over the past half-century. It stands as a testament to our perseverance and the enduring strength of our community.
