Galen Dodd is a remarkable individual who, at just 23 years of age, has already amassed an impressive career in volleyball coaching. From coaching a club team in Illinois to assisting at prestigious universities like USC and UCLA, and working with national teams, Dodd’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Currently, he serves as an assistant coach for the men’s volleyball team at Lewis University in Illinois. Winning the MIVA Conference Tournament against Loyola University-Chicago was a highlight of his career, showcasing the team’s hard work and dedication. Another standout moment was their victory over USC in the NCAA quarterfinals, which propelled them to the semifinals against top-ranked Hawaii. These matches are testaments to the dedication and passion that Galen and his team bring to the sport.

Continuing the Journey
In 2025, Galen took his career to new heights by joining Loyola University Chicago as an assistant coach. After obtaining an MBA, he transitioned to a role as a consultant at Bain & Company in Austin, continuing to influence both the sports and business worlds with his unique perspective and leadership skills.
