Earlier this year, there was some upsetting news when organizers announced they had canceled Liverpool Pride, initially planned on July 26. They said it was due "significant financial and organizational challenges." Adding fuel this fire, The Liverpool City Region (LCR) Pride Foundation's board said that funding problems, both locally and nationally, coupled with a split with Barclays, made it impossible pull off Pride as before.

Then, like a hero coming save day, Sahir House swooped in. They rallied local support and managed save Pride 2025. This unexpected turnaround has lifted everyone's spirits, replacing disappointment with excitement. In an electrifying message on social media, Sahir House announced, "We've turned things around, and we can't wait show you what's coming."

Fresh plans ahead: looking at Pride 2025

Pride 2025's got loads exciting new things in store, including an all-new march route and a buzzing queer arena celebration. There's something everyone here, with activities young folks, families, and a dazzling Pride Quarter party. "This Pride's everyone," Sahir House highlighted, shouting loud and clear about their commitment inclusivity and community spirit.

Sharing a heartfelt note their website, Sahir House acknowledged original organizers' tough decision cancel. They expressed their commitment keeping Pride alive: "After listening local voices, message's clear: Pride still matters - and our city still needs it."

With local volunteers, creatives, grassroots organizers, and other LGBTQ+ organizations, Sahir House's working hard create a Pride that's inclusive, accessible, and community-driven. They aim celebrate Liverpool's vibrant queer history and activism, shaping a Pride that reflects LGBTQ+ community's diversity, resilience, and creativity.

Lending a hand: support Sahir House

As Sahir House steps in save Pride, they're also facing financial challenges keeping their vital services running— services that help LGBTQ+ folks and those living with HIV across Liverpool City Region. The charity currently needs raise £20,000 a month continue providing these essential services.

They're kicking off a fundraising drive help organize Pride 2025 and maintain their all-important year-round services. This effort calls on community's support ensuring Sahir House remains a beacon hope and help many.

In 2023, event included a march supporting Kyiv Pride, highlighting ongoing struggles LGBTQ+ community faces Ukraine amid conflict with Russia. This show global unity brought together 60,000 participants, marking largest turnout event's history.
