Discover Little Gay Pub: Philadelphia's newest LGBTQ+ hotspot

Philadelphia's Gayborhood just got even more fabulous with its latest addition: Little Gay Pub (LGP). This spirited spot isn't just any bar—it's a one-of-a-kind experience with a warm and inclusive vibe. Originally winning hearts in Washington, D.C., LGP has decided it's time Philly gets in on this fun.

Behind Little Gay Pub's magic

LGP's magic comes from a powerhouse trio who really know their stuff. There's Dito Sevilla, a Washington local who cut his teeth at Floriana's bar scene. Partnering with him are Ben Gander, who hails from Arizona, and has worked his magic at D.C. staples like Nellies and Number 9. And then there's Dusty Martinez, who made his debut as a go-go dancer and worked his charm up as general manager at Trade, another famous D.C. bar. Together, they bring a wealth and variety  of experience.

Bringing Little Gay Pub's dream alive

LGP started as a simple dream fueled by a desire: make a place where everyone feels celebrated. In 2022, they turned an empty D.C. space full  of possibility and optimism. Sure, opening a new bar post-COVID wasn't a walk in Rittenhouse Square, but they were all in. "We saw a chance and ran with it," Dusty recalls. "Here, everyone not only fits in—they shine."

Why Philly stole their hearts

When it was time jumpstart their expansion plans, choosing Philadelphia's Gayborhood was a no-brainer. "Philly's LGBTQ+ vibe matches what we're all about," explains Dito. The team frequently visited Philly, and it didn't take long until they realized there was room in this tight-knit community.

Step inside a unique atmosphere

Philly's LGP location offers a vibe that stands out. It's a space where everyone belongs, and age isn't a factor. "You can feel it in every corner," Dusty shares. The bar's split personality—masculine downstairs, English garden upstairs with a cheeky nod towards Princess Di in Eagles garb—is a testament. "We spent a year perfecting it," Dito says. And trust me, day or night, you'll find a welcoming spot here.

Sip on creative, diverse drinks

Little Gay Pub's drink menu isn't just about booze. It stands apart with its creativity and local flair. You'll find faves, like espresso martinis alongside Philly specials like a beer-with-shot combo. Ever tried "Unicorn Tears?" This shimmery concoction blends pure whim. "It started as a joke," Ben confesses, "but it perfectly captures our playful spirit."

The buzzworthy bathrooms

LGP's bathrooms are all about style and selfies. "We've got room here in Philly," Dito laughs. Picture this: a chandelier and swan faucet setting up that perfect snapshot downstairs, while a pink, Hollywood regency-themed bathroom sparkles upstairs. As Ben puts it, "In D.C., bathroom selfie trends rule, but in Philly, every inch screams 'Snap me!'."

Little Gay Pub isn't just a bar—it's a celebration. It invites everyone, whether you're sipping a quiet afternoon drink or dancing away a night. Here, you're not just a guest; you're home.
