A spokesperson for the Garda confirmed that a response to an assault had been made at approximately 12:30 am on Sunday, 26 October. They noted that a man in his 20s sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and assured the public that a Garda Diversity Officer had been appointed to lead the investigation, which remains ongoing.
