Season 3 has truly cemented Mike White's show, *The White Lotus*, as a must-watch series. Episode 6 threw viewers another curveball involving that ever-complicated Ratliff family, and wow, did it set tongues waggin'!
Heads up: Spoilers ahead if you haven't caught up with Episode 6 yet!
This season shines a light on Victoria Ratliff, played by Parker Posey, as she battles her lorazepam addiction. At her side, or kind-of, stands Timothy (Jason Isaacs), who's neck-deep in tax fraud troubles. Their daughter, Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook), seems surprisingly down-to-earth amidst this chaos.
Episode 6, titled "Denials," shifts focus onto Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan (Sam Nìvolà). Saxon, often brash and cocky, finds himself in a predicament involving his younger brother, who seems much more innocent.
Back in Episode 5, during a wild Full Moon Party, it looked like Saxon and Lochlan's sibling dynamic was about hit a bizarre roadblock. Trying hard (maybe a bit too hard) they end up sharing a controversial kiss in front Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood).
Episode 6 wasted no time in ramping up drama. In a flashback, we're taken back on a yacht where Chloe, Lochlan, and Saxon were present. Saxon tries playing it cool, but Chloe's comments hint at more behind-the-scenes action than Saxon admits.
"That wasn't, I mean, it wasn't a threesome. What, are you kidding me? That was my little brother," Saxon protests when Chloe pushes him. But as we revisit past events, Chloe suggests Lochlan might have been more involved than first known.
This twist has got everybody talking. What's Mike White's game plan here? Patrick Schwarzenegger dropped some hints in a recent chat, calling it a "disturbing" twist but assuring us that it'll fit cleaner as we go along.
"There's a specific reason in terms narrative and broader themes," said Schwarzenegger. Fans are itching with curiosity about how it'll all tie together by season's end.
The third season's bold storytelling and juicy plotlines have viewers hooked. Along with Schwarzenegger and Nìvolà, performances by Walton Goggins, Natasha Rothwell, and Lisa Manobal are keeping everyone on their toes.
The tangled knots within Ratliff family keep us guessing. How will Saxon and Lochlan's relationship affect everything? With just a few episodes left, anticipation builds up like a pressure cooker.
