Gus Kenworthy, known both as an actor and a former Olympic skier, recently shared some intimate details about his personal and love life. It's been almost ten years since he came out as gay, and now he's offering a closer look at his thoughts on monogamy, threesomes, and more in a revealing interview.
After retiring from skiing in 2022, this Olympic gold medalist had a lively chat on "Who's The Asshole?", a podcast hosted by Katya from RuPaul's Drag Race fame. In their conversation, Gus opened up about his experiences with threesomes, admitting that even though he's been in many relationships, he's actually had “way more threesomes than one-on-one encounters.”
Gus didn't hold back, saying, "I do like threesomes. I guess I'm what you'd call a serial monogamist, even though not all my relationships have been strictly monogamous. I've pretty much always been in a relationship, which has naturally led me towards having quite a few threesomes."
He noted that many queer folks he knows are in open relationships, embracing a non-traditional take on love. “I'm not saying every relationship needs an open door, but one great thing about queer relationships? They break free from those old-school norms,” he pointed out.
He stressed that “trust, honesty, and communication are what really matter. Everything else, you set your own rules.”
Gus has even shared that he's found someone new! He's posted some sweet Instagram snaps with his partner, Andrew Rigby. One memorable photo shows them sharing a kiss on a sunny beach in Sydney, Australia.
Beyond relationship talk, Gus also opened up about his sexual experiences. He mentioned attending several sex-centered events, like orgies and public meet-ups. Reflecting on a time during Madrid Pride, he talked about a post-celebration party that turned wild. “The sheer number was thrilling, though no one really caught my eye just then," he recalled.
Gus also mentioned his ventures at bathhouses and events like Burning Man in Nevada, famous as a haven where self-expression thrives. He described his visit there, especially what he called an "orgy dome," as a standout memory.
"I'm kind intrigued by public sex, depending on where it happens," he admitted. "It'd be really disrespectful if it involved unwilling bystanders. I mean, I'd never do it where kids could be around. But a secluded corner in a club or a quiet spot in nature? That's exciting."
You can catch more on Gus's thoughts about relationships and personal freedom on Grindr's "Who's The Asshole?" podcast, which streams now.
