Rutger published: Gruesome Murder of Two Gay Men by Adult Performer Leads to Life Sentence

An adult performer from Colombia, Yostin Andres Mosquera, has been found guilty of the horrific murder of two gay men in London. This shocking case has gripped the attention of many as details of the gruesome events unfolded in court.

On Monday, the jury convicted 35-year-old Mosquera for the murders that took place in July 2024. The victims, Paul Longworth, aged 71, and Albert Alfonso, aged 62, were found dead in their own home under harrowing circumstances.

Details of the Crime

The bodies of Longworth and Alfonso were discovered after reports surfaced about suspicious activities on the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol. Authorities quickly identified Mosquera as the prime suspect and arrested him shortly after the gruesome discovery.

The disturbing events began when Mosquera, who shared explicit adult content online, became acquainted with Alfonso. Their relationship progressed from online interactions to in-person meetings, with Mosquera frequently visiting the couple's London residence.

On the night of the murders, Mosquera bludgeoned Longworth with a hammer, concealing his body within a divan bed. Later, he brutally stabbed Alfonso while they engaged in sexual activity, capturing the horrific act on surveillance cameras installed in the home.

A Chilling Courtroom Revelation

In court, the jury was shown the chilling footage of Alfonso's murder. Witnesses described how Mosquera callously asked Alfonso if he "liked it" after the stabbing, followed by a disturbing display of singing and dancing as Alfonso lay dying. The video evidence provided a harrowing insight into the mindset of Mosquera during the crime.

Mosquera reportedly decapitated both men, storing their heads in a freezer while placing the other remains inside suitcases. He then attempted to dispose of the bodies by transporting them via taxi to the bridge, intending to discard them into the river below. However, blood leaking from the suitcases alerted onlookers and thwarted his plan.

Motive and Trial

Throughout the trial, Mosquera attempted to shift the blame onto Alfonso, claiming self-defense and asserting that Alfonso had previously abused him. He also alleged that Alfonso was responsible for Longworth's murder, arguing that his own actions were a result of "manslaughter by loss of control." However, the prosecution provided compelling evidence to the contrary.

Prosecutors highlighted Mosquera's premeditated actions, pointing to his online searches for lethal points on the human skull and his acquisition of a freezer for storing the severed heads. Additionally, they presented evidence of Mosquera accessing the couple's financial information immediately following their deaths, suggesting a financial motive behind the murders.

While Mosquera's defense team argued his case, the jury ultimately sided with the prosecution. They concluded that Mosquera had meticulously planned the murders with the intent to benefit financially from the couple's assets.

Sentence and Aftermath

Following the guilty verdict, Justice Joel Nathan Bennathan KC ordered a psychiatric evaluation of Mosquera. He indicated that the only appropriate sentence was life imprisonment, with a formal sentencing scheduled for October 24.
