Recently, Jonathan Bailey captured hearts on both sides—inside homes and through TV screens—with his appearance on CBeebies Bedtime Story. On November 21, he mesmerized everyone with his reading from “Room on The Broom,” a cherished children‘s book by Julia Donaldson, brought beautifully alive with illustrations by Axel Scheffler.
From Hollywood glamorizer To bedtime storyteller
Many know Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis from Jurassic World: Rebirth, and it seems he wears multiple hats, as he was crowned People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 2025. This title seems truly fitting, especially given how Gogglebox viewers responded with playful enthusiasm.
The gogglebox crew meets "The sexiest man alive"
In season 26, episode 13, viewers were treated (and smitten) by a clip featuring “the world's sexiest man putting us all gently off.” Ellie, one vibrant partaker, excitedly exclaimed, “I'm all giddy,” turning with delight towards her sister Izzi.
Sue, another cast member, greeted Bailey with an affectionate “Oh, hello, Jonathan,” and Andrew couldn't resist poking fun at his partner, Alfie. “Oh, calm down,” Alfie retorted, only sparking Andrew's cheeky comeback, “I'm not calming down, it's bedtime,” leading them both—and us—to giggle.
A lively back-and-forth
Julie also got in on it, nudged Tom with a light-hearted note about Bailey being named Sexiest Man Alive in 2025. Sophie commented on Bailey's lovely reading voice with a knowing nod, “Oh, he‘s doing this one just right,” and Rosie and Susie nodded, “Lovely voice.”
Susie couldn't help but quip: Bailey's voice might belong in a certain chat line profession, while Andrew chimed appreciatively, “I think you're magical, Jonathan,” when Bailey asked, “If I were magical, do you know what I‘d do right now?”
Lee, watching with Jenny, added with humor, "If I were magical, you wouldn't be in there,” getting Jenny chuckling, “You wouldn't be doing bedtime stories,” she volleyed right back.

Ellie couldn't resist teasing her sister about “Jonathan's bulge,” causing a wide-eyed “Bloody hell” from Izzi, followed by Ellie playfully declaring, “I love a jeans bulge,” bringing laughter all around.
A reading like no other
As Bailey announced, “There's room on my broom," Andrew quickly echoed, delivering a line everyone seemed ready and waiting. Even Mary, who often stays reserved, admitted she was “dreading” it ending.
A playful mention about a “dripping wet wand” during Bailey's reading led imaginations elsewhere, steering humor in tune with winding down at night, in ways untraditional.
