Drag Race Season 16 Winner Nymphia Wind Eager for All Winners All Stars Return
In an exciting revelation for fans of the iconic drag competition, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16 champion Nymphia Wind has expressed her interest in returning to the show for a second edition of All Stars featuring past winners.
Since the groundbreaking All Stars season 7 brought back eight former champions from the global Drag Race franchise to compete for the prestigious title of ‘Queen of All Queens’, the anticipation for a follow-up season has been growing. Fans have been eagerly discussing which of their favorite champions might return to the Werk Room for another shot at glory.
Nymphia Wind, the most recent champion who dazzled audiences with her performances in 2024, topping the competition and outshining fellow contestants Sapphira Cristál and Plane Jane in the nail-biting finale, is at the top of many fans' wish lists for a return.
In a candid interview with Pride, Nymphia affirmed her enthusiasm for the idea, saying, “Well, when simply asked the question, you simply must say, ‘yes’. I would definitely do it. I had so much fun filming, so if I do get the opportunity, I would be very excited to go back, because now I have more money to create more extravagant looks.”
Beyond just her excitement, Nymphia shared some thoughts on who she would love to compete against, as well as those she might find intimidating in the high-pressure environment of an all winners All Stars season.
“Sasha Velour, for sure. Maybe Violet [Chachki]. There’s so many! Definitely not the comedy queens like Bob [the Drag Queen] or Bianca [Del Rio], I would be so scared,” she admitted with a laugh. “I would be intrigued to see Aquaria too. But any winner would be scary! Because they’re all at the top of their game.”
Despite the enthusiasm from Nymphia, not every past winner shares her eagerness to return. Bob the Drag Queen, celebrated for winning season 8, has previously stated a firm ‘no’ to the prospect of coming back to the competition, humorously remarking that returning was “for losers.”
Bob’s comment drew a playful yet disappointed reaction from All Stars 2 champion Alaska Thunderf**k, who expressed her desire to compete alongside Bob, albeit with a hint of cheeky criticism towards her friend’s stance.
There are others, however, who have shown interest in a return to the Werk Room. Winners such as Kylie Sonique Love from All Stars 6, season 15’s Sasha Colby, and Drag Race UK’s Danny Beard and Ginger Johnson from seasons 4 and 5, respectively, have expressed their willingness to dive back into the glamorous and competitive world of Drag Race.
Conversely, some champions have decided to gracefully bow out of the competition spotlight. Chad Michaels, the first All Stars winner, Trixie Mattel from All Stars 3, and Bianca Del Rio from season 6, have suggested that their Drag Race journeys have reached a natural conclusion.
As discussions continue and speculation builds, fans remain hopeful that their favorite queens will return for another round of fierce competition and fabulous fashion displays on a hypothetical all winners All Stars season. Such a season promises not only to be a celebration of drag artistry at its highest level but also an opportunity for the queens to showcase their growth and evolution since their original seasons.
While nothing is set in stone yet, the possibility of seeing Nymphia Wind and other champions back on our screens is an exciting prospect for fans of the franchise. As these conversations unfold, the enthusiasm from both the queens and the fans alike demonstrates the enduring allure and power of Drag Race in the cultural landscape.
