The popular drag queen just shared that she and her long-time partner, Jay Groff, are engaged! Lexi Love hails from Louisville, Kentucky, and wowed us all during her run on Drag Race. Her openness about her challenges with addiction and homelessness, and her journey embracing her identity as a transgender woman, made her a standout figure. Her authenticity took her all. She made it all with a third-place finish, sharing her place with fellow contestant Sam Star.

A priority on health and wellness

After Drag Race wrapped up, Lexi made a heartfelt decision: she chose a temporary step away from performing in order prioritize her mental, physical, and emotional health. She told fans, "I'm taking a break..." The decision was welcomed across her fanbase and within LGBTQ+ circles.

Lexi's mantra: resilience in adversity

Lexi's life journey has had its share hurdles, but her story remains one resilience and triumph. In May, she courageously entered a rehab program, which her manager, TJ Liedel, applauded."We're extremely proud..." Despite leaving rehab early due circumstances, she forged ahead with her sobriety. By June 8, celebrated 39 days sober and soon made her return by performing in San Antonio's Bonham Exchange.

A voice and allyship in LGBTQ+ advocacy

Beyond her personal struggles, Lexi has become a vocal advocate. She's spoken against policies that harm LGBTQ+ rights and health. When LGBTQ+ and HIV resources were removed from federal websites, she raised her voice with concern: "My health and well-being..." Despite these hurdles, she's committed using her platform bring awareness HIV education and protection.
