Experience a queer extravaganza: BRIEFS dazzles on London's nights

From that moment I saw my ticket labeled "splash zone," I knew this wasn't going be your average night out. As it turned out, I was right—a refreshing mist from an electrifying water bowl acrobatics act set a thrilling tone, ensuring this would be an unforgettable experience. Welcome aboard! You're stepping right up front and center with BRIEFS, a truly sensational spectacle crafted by Briefs Factory, an audaciously queer troupe all hailing from Australia. Since 2008, they've been charming audiences with a lively mix that blends drag, dance, comedy, theater, burlesque, acrobatics, circus arts, and a sprinkle or two (okay, maybe more) clown antics.

Unleashing creativity on London's stage

Ever tried packing all those captivating elements—the acrobatics, comedy, glamour, and more—into a show that barely scratches two hours? It sounds daunting, I know. Yet, somehow, they manage it spectacularly. Each performer brings something unique—whether they're gliding seamlessly on a cyr wheel, soaring from daring heights, or bending in ways you didn't quite think humanly possible, they've got it all. Bursting with rebellious energy, they light up London's HERE at Outernet night after night until month-end.

Meet these stars up close

Leading us through this whirlwind adventure with a sharp tongue and an even sharper style, Fez, a Briefs Factory co-founder, holds it all together as our wonderfully dynamic emcee. But that's just where it starts. Sharing that limelight are drag queens Nastia and Serenity, captivating us with their impeccable flips, thrilling kicks, and those heel clicks that add glitz and glam with every move. And let's not forget Mark Winmill. Oh, his burlesque fan dances are something else! Rowan, on another hand, brings along delightful chaos with his acrobatics and cheeky clowning—be ready, he might show more than you expect! If you're in that coveted front row, a little surprise awaits, perhaps an unconventional cocktail experience that you just have see firsthand.

A provocative and artistic celebration

This performance isn't just a show; it flirts with brilliance. The skill and creativity on display provoke not only thought but awe. Each artist dazzles, leaving us in envy—or as Fez might say, making us "jealousssss." Fez shared a touching tidbit about their journey, about hurdles in securing government funding back in Australia because someone doubted their "artistic merit." But believe me, any doubt disappears when you witness Dale pull off those crazy balloon and sword tricks. If BRIEFS isn't art, then honestly, what hope do we have? It truly redefines "raunchy spectacle," and I can't shake off how eagerly I'm looking forward another round.

Don't miss this spectacular show

Wanna be part this phenomenal experience? Tickets are still up grabs as BRIEFS runs at London's HERE at Outernet until July 26th. Join in, share your thoughts, and keep our conversation lively and respectful!
