Chloë Grace Moretz and her partner, Kate Harrison, have tied-the-knot in a private ceremony that was as unique as their love story. The intimate celebration was filled with personal touches, like line dancing and fishing, and featured a memorable baby blue wedding dress worn by Moretz, tossing tradition out with style.
Chloë Grace Moretz, who you might know from "Kick-Ass," isn't just recognized as an actress but also as a fierce advocate and role model in LGBTQ+ rights. She came out publicly while standing in support during Kamala Harris' presidential campaign and has been an inspiring voice ever since. Earlier this year, she popped THE question, and she and Kate Harrison, a talented model and photographer, decided their wedding would be a true reflection their journey together.
The ceremony kept things cozy and personal, allowing Chloë and Kate's love story take center stage. According Vogue, it was an incredibly chic event with both women flaunting stunning outfits that were jaw-dropping both during and after ceremony. Moretz's baby blue wedding dress stood out, a nod toward her non-traditional vibe.
In a video journeying through her dress choice at Louis Vuitton Atelier in Paris, Moretz revealed her reason behind going with a baby blue dress. It all kicked off at 2023 Academy Museum Gala when she wore a blue leather dress by Louis Vuitton. That look struck a chord, and it planted a seed in her mind.
“The color idea started brewing after wearing that blue leather dress,” Moretz shared. “I remember chatting with Nell [Kalonji, her stylist], thinking, ‘We should definitely go with this vibe again.'”
Once she and Kate got engaged, Moretz knew blue was THE color. “I was like, ‘We've got do blue, it'll be perfect,'” she recalled telling Kate.
Chloë poured her gratitude out on Instagram, thanking Louis Vuitton and designer Nicolas Ghesquière with a snap her in that stunning dress. “Words can't fully capture this feeling. Thanks a million,” she wrote. “Your generosity, creativity, and kindness blow us away. Saying 'thank you' feels like not enough, but I'm saying it anyway. Your vision made this day even more special.”
The dress was totally Chloë - “It just feels like me,” she told Vogue. “I never pictured a wedding dress growing up, so when we talked about how it'd look, I wanted it different, not white, and personal. And I believe it really does.”
Post-ceremony, Chloë rocked an all-white, Western-inspired look, complete with cowboy hat, jacket, and trousers, blending her personal flair with classic fashion.
We might not have official photos yet, but Chloë shared some snippets about their special day. The couple wanted their guests engaged in their favorite pastimes. “We wanted everyone experience what we love,” Moretz explained. “There was fishing, horseback riding, and even poker. Kate crafted a personalized poker mat, so we really leaned in. Day two featured line dancing - and more!”
The celebration beautifully showcased Chloë and Kate's deep bond and shared passions, with activities that echoed their personalities, creating a joyful setting filled with love.
As we shower them with congrats, their wedding emerges as a shining example embracing authenticity in love. Their story reminds us love's a personal journey, and every couple deserves celebrate in a style true themselves.
