That's exactly what Beloit's own pitcher, Aiden Phipps, experienced as he wrapped up his college baseball days. After his team, the Buccaneers, bowed out from the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship, Phipps turned to Instagram to share his heartfelt goodbye.

"Baseball. You have been the love of my life. Thank you for letting me be a child for 22 years," Phipps penned in an emotional post. "I'm forever grateful for the friendships and family you've given me, along with the wisdom, strength, and courage it takes to get back up when you're down."
