Alaska Thunderfunk, who won over hearts and took home victory on Season 2's edition, wants another go at it in a possible return season. She can't hide her excitement, although she's a bit let down that Bob isn't keen on hopping back in with her.
All Stars 7 really shook things up by pulling in eight prior champions from all corners, fighting it out again. It got fans speculating about which queens might make a return. Alaska tops those wish lists, and she's made it clear she'd jump at another shot.
In a chat about her new movie, Alaska was positively beaming about slipping back under those pink lights. "I just love Drag Race," she gushed. "I love being in that bizarre, fake, pink room. If RuPaul called me, I'd absolutely go." Alaska's excitement isn't dimmed even by Bob's light-hearted comment on his podcast about not needing another go-round with All Stars.
Bob's decision isn't raining on Alaska's parade. "I'm p*ssed because I wanted Bob there!" she laughed. "We'd be a great team, and I wanted her in it." But Alaska has her eyes on others too— she's hoping Sasha Velour, Violet Chachki, and maybe even Jinkx Monsoon could come back.
While some past winners are opting out, others are itching at a shot again. Word has it that Kylie Sonique Love, Sasha Colby from Season 15, and a few Drag Race UK stars are up, while big names like Trixie Mattel and Bianca Del Rio seem content with where they are.
Fans won't have much longer before they get another dose, with Season 10 set up with its biggest-ever ensemble, premiering on May 9.
Besides her drag persona, Alaska's hitting it big in her new flick. Her film, 'God Save The Queens', wows with stories about drag queens at a therapy retreat. It premiered at Tribeca in 2022, with a cast that includes Kelly Mantle, Laganja Estranja, Manila Luzon, and Michelle Visage.
This movie, starring Alaska Thunderfunk, streams now on Prime Video and other platforms. It's funny, touching, and throws light on drag queens juggling their extraordinary lives.
